The 8th-generation Apple iPad has been unveiled by the tech brand as its latest version of the base model tablet that is focused on delivering exceptional speedy and versatility at a price point that is more accessible for consumers.

The tablet sports a big boost in performance capabilities thanks to the A12 Bionic chip within, which will allow for a 40% faster user experience. Boasting twice the graphics performance of the previous version, the tablet now has the brand's Neural Engine inside along with a 10.2-inch Retina display.

The 8th-generation Apple iPad will offer support for the first-generation Apple Pencil and the brand's Smart Keyboard, and will come in space gray, silver and gold finishes. Priced starting at $329, the tablet will come with 32GB or 128GB of internal storage and in WiFi or cellular models to boot.
