A prototype of Honda’s latest supercar—the 2015 Honda NSX—will be on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June.
The 2015 Honda NSX will have a twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The engine will be uniquely compatible to the NSX, and should be able to deliver power that rivals the engines of the McLaren 12C, and Ferrari 458 Italia. The engine will be hooked up to three electric motors, two of which are mounted to the front wheels, while a third is integrated into the engine, and powers the rear wheels. All three motors are powered by a lithium-ion battery that is charged by the cars regenerative braking system.
The transmission on the 2015 Honda NSX is certain to be dual-clutch, and could have a seven-speed or even an eight-speed gearbox.
