Dillon's Small-Batch Distillers has created the first 100% Canadian rye-whiskey in decades with its new small-batch rye.
In the 1920's, US prohibition caused 100% Rye Canadian whiskeys to go out of favor because of the expensive ingredients required make it. Rye whiskeys would be limited to lower percentages of the grain making 100% Canadian rye-whiskeys virtually extinct. Decades later, Dillon's has launched the first whiskey made with 100% Ontario-grown rye grain.
