This influence is seen in editorials and runways everywhere, as pink threads are once again embraced and women welcome cotton candy-hued blush back into their makeup bags.

The doll, whether she be Barbie or baby inspired, has always been seen as a symbol of femininity and youth -- for many, these two things are considered the pillars of beauty. With that in mind, it's no surprise that such major makeup artists, designers and magazines are taking the look on. A recent editorial in Vogue Italy sees pale makeup and huge eyes reminiscent of porcelain figurines, while the Viktor Wolf Spring 2012 collection saw tons of visible stitching and pink that was very Barbie.
