During the late 1980s, Thierry Mugler had become an internationally recognized fashion designer, and in 1992, he released his first haute couture collection. The following year, Mugler created the now infamous black dress Demi Moore wore in the 1993 film 'Indecent Proposal.'
The world of fragrance is also one that the fashion house has conquered. In 1992, the brand released 'Angel,' which was the first oriental gourmand perfume to ever appear on the market. It is still one of the best-selling perfumes of all time.
These days, Nicola Formichetti (who has worked with Lady Gaga) is the creative director of the brand and changed its name to MUGLER. In January 2011, Formichetti released the brand's first menswear collection.
