I'm sure you've seen funny license plates while driving, but have you encountered tofu-enthusiasts who were censored by government officials for simply wanting a "ILVTOFU" license plate? Then there are license plate alerts that fold out to let other drivers know when your vehicle's stalled and that you require some roadside assistance.
Not all license plate innovations are novel though. The Government of Ontario issues special green license plates as an incentive for drivers to own electric vehicles. These license plate owners will gain special privileges such as special parking spaces and access to provincial recharging facilities.
