The State of Ohio is taking tough measures to protect its citizens against repeat sex offenders. Convicted predator's vehicles will be tagged with mandatory fluorescent green license plates to alert neightbors, potential victims and police to their whereabouts.
This follows Ohio's existing law that requires convicted drunk drivers to display neon yellow plates on their vehicles as well.
Implications - In past decades, issues such as sexual were not as prominent and kept relatively quiet in the news. Today the amount of crimes involving sexual predators has risen severely, leaving many people scared and worried. Businesses should participate with government officials to create products to help decrease the amount of sexual attacks to and ultimately give consumers a greater peace of mind.
