It seems in recent years that tastes have gotten a whole lot more adventurous and, if these hot sauce innovations are any indication, masochistic. Eating has become an extreme sport, riddled with dares and astounding stomach-turning feats. On the tamer side of these edible displays of strength, there is the very manly ability to handle heat.

The market has been experiencing an influx of incredibly hot sauces, using and abusing such inferno-inducing produce as scotch bonnet peppers and those dreaded habaneros. With the temperatures of the sauces climbing to such great heights, it's hard not to feel how Homer felt while chowing down on those crazy Guatemalan Insanity Peppers.

While it's not likely you'll lose your marbles over any of these condiments, these hot sauce innovations deserve your respect and should not be taken up lightly.
