These harrowing hooded editorials show that the semi-masked look is popular in many photography and fashion circles.
It doesn't matter what the photoshoot is for, it could be for the model or for a clothing line, but it is imperative that everything looks refined, perfect and stunning. Synonymous with looking good nowadays is looking slick and cool, and the hooded effect is a superb way to achieve this. It is unclear as to why the hood is so mysterious and alluring -- perhaps it's as close to wearing a mask that one can get without looking absurd.
