From Subway Accessibility Apps to 3D Printed Wheelchair Ramps

As we move steadily towards a society where the differently abled can access all the aspects of culture, we're seeing a rise in the number of innovations that make use of modern technology to turn disabilities into manageable issues. Cities and brands around the world are incorporating smart solutions to keep the differently abled moving including accessible public transit and even wheelchairs that are sturdy enough to go off-roading.

The incorporation of the differently abled into all aspects of our culture from advertising to taxis that can easily accommodate a wheelchair. A personal favorite is the JC Penny retail display that incorporated people of all walks of life from the differently abled to those with various body types. Here's hoping the future leads to the further dissolution of differently abled boundaries.
