Of all the avant-garde fashion movements that the fashion community has seen, designs influenced by battle armor has to be one of the most bizarre, yet creative, sources of inspiration.
When searching for inspiration, many designers look to past civilizations for inspirations, so it makes sense that the different types of battle armor from past generations has been a source of inspiration for many clothing and jewelry collections. The harshness and durability of metallic battle armor materials like brass, steel, silver and chain-mail have all been incorporated to create darker, and more edgy, updated designs for the 21st century.
