David Ben is a magician and a former tax lawyer who has discovered that there are some interesting similarities between the two professions and who, through this entertaining keynote, makes the case for how the professions have commonalities with all types of work in general.
He shows that all jobs expect of their employees to perform the impossible and makes the case for why problem-solving skills are so important to any career. He shows that magicians and tax lawyers use a particular set of skills to solve problems and shows how his audience can use those skills to help develop creative solutions. Using magic tricks and audience interaction, David Ben comes up with some abstract ways of demonstrating to his audience how they can think differently when it comes to problem-solving skills.
