FOG Architecture Designs a New Xiaozhuo Store Location

Chinese architecture studio FOG Architecture unveils its latest project in the form of a local fashion boutique design for Xiaozhuo on Julu Road. It is found right in the center of Shanghai and features oversized designs of buttons and zippers along with tactile surfaces and playful emblems to nod to the art of tailoring.

At the front is a glazed facade to welcome customers and has openings to allow natural daylight to fill the space, blending the line between the interior and street for a transitional feeling. FOG Architecture explains that The result is an exterior of the shop that looks like a 'small pavilion. The red columns, the flat roof resembling overlapping tiles, and the antique style stone seats all contribute to this spatial image."
