A design studio from Norway Rever & Drage introduces its newest design in the form of a timber cabin that is built in a local forest. The building is made for the owner of the 1930s cabin next foot with a focus on upgrading the facilities at the space without changing the current structure. The two cabins have beautiful views of the landscape and are open toward the southwest perspective.
Rever & Drage talks about the new building, stating that "Historically this kind of building has served as a shelter while doing other recreational activities such as hiking, hunting or fishing. Since the days of [Henry] Thoreau's Walden, however, the small retreat or bolthole has also been a goal in itself, typically to escape the stresses of everyday life."
