HYBRID and Palma Join to Create the NICO Sayulita

Mexico City-based Architecture studio Palma works together with Seattle-based architecture and development firm HYBRID on the NICO Sayulita. It is an architectural rental that surrounds concepts of luxe comfort. NICO Sayulita is located in the town of Sayulita and with a quick glance at the front, it appears to be a dual-level structure.

When guests cross a bridge that hovers over the main pool, they will see an unveiled tiered sunken site that is purposefully disappearing to the canopy. There are also a series of elevated suites along with an open-air communal space that are interconnected by staircases. The exterior is detailed with concrete gridded accents, which follow into the indoor areas as well for a cooling aesthetic that incites an ocean breeze.
