Mexican architect Frida Escobedo completes the Boca de Agua design, which is a resort by the seaside in the Yucatan Peninsula. It features wooden guest quarters that rest on top of suspended stilts featuring 26 vacation rentals along the Laguna de los Siete colores in Bacalar, Quintana Roo with captivating views.
The team notes, "Built at the intersection of ecosystem preservation and well-being" the project resulted from a "desire to create a place that contributes to environmental, social, and cultural regeneration while offering its guests an equally regenerative, unique and relaxing experience." There are 22 suites of the 26 freestanding villas and these function as tranquil treehouses resting on top of pillars to raise guests up to the higher levels in the tree tops.
