Crystal Sinclair Designs Designs the Dumbo loft in Brooklyn

Interior design studio Crystal Sinclair Designs renovates a loft apartment located right in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood which is aptly named the Dumbo Loft. One of the most notable design touches of the space is the mezzanine which is detailed with a wall of books and a bedroom that is found behind a glass partition. It is home to a well-traveled lawyer and writer.

The client bought the loft during the rise of the pandemic in 2020 and now aims to keep the industrial foundation of the space whilst furnishing the area with a European flair. Sinclair notes that "[She] wanted to incorporate certain elements that are representative of the places she’s lived and worked before. To that end, we worked in a nuristani mirror and a tribal qashqai rug purchased in Afghanistan, a statement chandelier from Italy, and her entire and not insubstantial library."
