Child fitness toys are now emerging in order to make physical activity seem second nature to kids once again in the face of huge childhood and adult obesity issues.

By disguising tools for health and wellness in toys and games, kids are much more apt to put down their tech devices. Knowing that balance is important, Samsung created a line of Smart Toys that required kids to put in a certain amount of time playing with physical toys before engaging with the digital ones.

In addition to providing entertainment, the improvement of skills and health is also a major focus of many child fitness toys. As such, wearables like the Leap Band, PowaBand and Miiya are emerging as a way to empower kids to become aware of their own progress. UNICEF pushed this idea further when it gave out Kid Power Bands across the United States, challenging kids to earn points to help children in need around the world.
