Inspired by her childhood farm in Singapore, designer Chan Wai Lim of Little Thoughts Group, created these amazing playground rockingchairs for children.
Growing up, Wai Lim found herself surrounded by farm animals, and so, she infused those memories into her designs. Working with Samko Timber - an Indonesia-based wood company, Little Thoughts Group brought life to eco-friendly, wooden pigs, dogs and cats.
Opposing the traditional use of metal or other materials that wear away, rust or chip over time, the group decided to use Heveatech wood. This particular wood holds the benefits of being weather, and termite-resistant, making it the ultimate outdoor material for such projects. The combination of different tones of wood in abstract patterns, and simple animal characteristics reflect a creative and modern appearance.
The adorable animals have an added feature of a large windup key on the back, just for nostalgic value! Kids will be drawn to the unique presence of these animals, and parents can appreciate the artistic value.
