Step-N-Play Walker Transforms into Climbing Unit, Table, & Storage System
References: upadhyaybharti665.wixsite
The Step-N-Play is a multifunctional children’s furniture concept designed by Bharti Upadhyay to adapt across early childhood stages. The structure operates as a baby walker for infants between 6 and 18 months, using a frame made from wood, ABS plastic, and silicone grips. It includes a 95-degree backrest angle to support early posture, along with an anti-tip base and safety gaps designed to reduce pinching hazards.
As the child grows, the unit transitions into a climbable stair structure for ages one to three, then into a table and chair setup for ages two to six. A built-in storage compartment is integrated into the frame and remains functional across all configurations. The design uses CNC-cut wood and injection-molded plastic components to support repeated use over time. The form incorporates rounded edges, soft curves, and textured elements, with proportions adjusted to accommodate different stages of physical development.
