Wachovia pulled out of a major college funding program, leaving many post-secondary students scrambling. Their merger with Wells Fargo could end up resulting in decreased educational funding; specially, Wachovia is pulling out of being a trustee for the $9.3 billion Commonfund Short Term Fund which supports 1,000 colleges.
This move could cause a drop in future American college and university education rates.
This slideshow highlights some of the top innovations in university and college educations, things that would not be possible if financial aid from institutes like Wachovia ceased.
