The top 2015 romance trends reveal that convenience and compatibility are important factors when it comes to dating and relationship-building. The rise of smartphone technology has largely turned dating into an activity that can be carried out with the touch of a button. However, this does not mean that consumers are wholly satisfied with technology that simply facilitates finding a potential match.

It is true that the rise of dating apps has made it easier for consumers to access a greater pool of potential partners. However, consumers are not willing to sacrifice compatibility for the convenience that some mainstream dating apps provide. As a result, there has been a rise in niche dating apps that cater to everything from specific religious groups to those who share an interest in body modification.

In addition to new dating apps, the desire to balance convenience and compatibility is also apparent in other industries. Indeed, the top 2015 romance trends reveal that subscription box services are increasingly catering to couples who want to enjoy fun and interesting activities, but may not have the time to plan these things in advance.
