The prevalence of frozen yogurt stores has seen the dessert retail market shift to favor pseudo-healthy options like with what Styo Dessert offers customers.

Started by Dorothy Tam and Kenneth Lam in Vancouver, Canada Styo Desserts offers a fresh interior space that's almost as good as they treats they offer.

Crafting the perfect desserts for guests using only local ingredients or ones made in-house, Styo Desserts is changing up perceptions of what going for frozen yogurt means.

Although many frozen yogurt stores focus on allowing customers to DIY their own treat, Styo Desserts brings a certain level of expertise to the experience.

Explaining the Styo Dessert experience, Tam said: "With self serve, you basically just go pick the frozen yogurt, pick the toppings then dump everything on top so it doesn’t look very appealing, and everything is all mixed together. When we do parfaits, you eat one layer at a time. As you get to the next layer the textures and flavours are different."
