Artist Yadegar Asisi Displays the Great Barrier Reef in a Whole Room

Berlin-based artist Yadegar Asisi created this whimsical room-wrapping display of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The artist is able to project a to-scale image of the amazing ocean scene using a 360-degree panorama.

The blue-colored imagery is displayed in a fully immersive room at the Panometer in Leipzig, Germany. The room consumes visitors with never-before-seen hues of purple and green. The creatures appear to be swimming around the guests, who might as well be in an underwater capsule. In the center of the room, there is a platform with various levels that visitors can climb, which will provide a better look at the rooftop images.

Yadegar Asisi displays the surreal imagery within the 3,500 square meter space that reaches 32 meters high and contains a 110 meter circumferential. For many, this experience will be the closest they get to viewing the world's largest coral reef.
