Geometry-Exploring Lights

OMA and Delta Light's XY180 Collection Experiments with Lines

Delta Light first showcased its XY180 collection at Milan's design week last year as a range of modular lighting fixtures that are designed around a hinged system, enabling a series of various light to be connected. The lighting components feature a series of tubes in different lengths and spotlights in two different sizes. This marks the first time that OMA has created a lighting system that has such a strong identity.

Drawing upon the concepts of geometric patterns, the XY180 collection explores the essentials of a point, line and surface. The design team aimed to create something that would deliver a diffused soft light -- something that lies in between strong illumination with good distribution to that it would remain bright in the horizontal tube.
