Jordi Pla designs the new Symphony collection for Milan Iluminación, which is made up of a series of dynamic lighting designs. It resembles the look of a small orchestra that eludes a sense of diffused light. It kicks off with a rotating glass lampshade, which directs lighting intricately to shrink or grow and fill its surroundings.
Notably, the lampshades are also designed with a magnetic system to create a field that allows the screen to seamlessly rotate along a ball joint. The capsule is constructed using steel materials and the capsule is extruded and stamped during the production process. The shades, however, are made using spinning aluminum, and the light-diffusing shade is constructed from an intricately opal blown glass with a glossy finish.
