Hi-Tech Workbenches

This Wooden Workbench Reveals a Surprisingly Modern Interior

When it's all closed up, the Tempel wooden workbench design looks like a vintage piece of furniture like an old writing desk. However, when the furniture piece is opened up, it reveals itself as a piece for the modern craftsperson, equipped with loads of drawers for storage, as well as everything from a computer rig to a pop-up monitor and spaces for custom electronic tools.

The design by Love Hultén was crafted from a variety of wood, including ash and walnut, blending the needs of a modern-day person with nostalgic charm of a retro furniture design. The unique furniture piece by Hultén was displayed as part of the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2014 earlier this year.
