'Woloo' Helps Women Access Sanitary Public Toilets Across India

'Woloo,' an India-based startup, has released a mobile application that is designed to help women locate sanitary toilets in public. Woloo has launched this application in response to the 'International Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Foundation' (IWSH) stating that it is difficult for women to find usable public toilets across India.
Woloo maintains the cleanliness of thousands of washrooms to ensure that they meet its 'Woloo Assurance of Hygiene' (WAH) standards. This set of standards was developed in collaboration with the Toilet Board Coalition, ensuring that the WAH meets health and safety expectations.
The application is available for iPhone and Android devices and can be downloaded from the respective app stores. The app shows users a local map with key icons on the map showing different bathrooms and a brief description, such as whether they are in a restaurant or a building. Additionally, Woloo also shows 'Powder Rooms' for women on the application. These powder rooms have tools for baby care, makeup touch-ups, and feminine hygiene practices. On top of this, these powder rooms are certified sanitary and clean.
