The top February 2022 robots trends respond to the continued need for automated and contactless solutions, and alleviate people from having to do simple tasks where possible. The far reach of robots is also helping to address labor shortages across multiple industries, notably foodservice and hospitality, especially at a time when care is being taken to reduce contact between staff and guests for the sake of public health.
Many of the latest robot innovations came out of CES 2022, including modular kitchen robots capable of quickly learning new recipes, autonomous mobile robots to help the elderly or people with disabilities, as well as robots that help with automating store inventory.
At the Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022, athletes and media personnel had the chance to dine at a contactless restaurant, complete with robots that drop orders down from the ceiling.
