This Robotic System Gives An Autonomous Upgrade to Commercial Mowers

Electric Sheep Robotics, a startup based in San Francisco, has launched an innovative new autonomous lawn mower add-on system that is designed to make it possible for existing lawn mowers to be upgraded in order to be able to achieve autonomous functionality.

The 'Dexter' autonomous lawn mower system is effectively a robotic system that can quickly and easily be applied to existing lawn mowers that may be of the gas-powered or electric varieties, as long as they happen to be commercial-grade and powered-wheel machines rather than suburban backyard lawn mowers.

One the system is installed, its GPS system, LiDAR mechanism, cameras and sensors work together in order to be able to help the lawn mower navigate through the area without running into obstacles.
