MAMMOTION's new robotic navigation platform integrates three distinct positioning technologies — LiDAR, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) satellite, and AI-powered 3D vision — into a single unified system designed for autonomous lawn care equipment. This sophisticated approach has reportedly been developed for nearly a decade.

MAMMOTION's autonomous lawn care solution aims to overcome the limitations of previous systems that relied on one or two sensors. Instead, the new robotic navigation platform dynamically switches between technologies based on real-time environmental conditions such as lighting, obstacles, and terrain.

The system promises centimeter-level accuracy and eliminates the need for physical boundary wires or external base stations in many cases. The technology is being implemented in a new model of all-wheel-drive robotic mower and is also available via an over-the-air update for certain existing products.
