Cheeky Mixed-Medium Illustrations

Alex Solis's Witty Illustrations Come Alive on the Page

Mixing different mediums when it comes to art using everyday products, snacks and hands, Alex Solis's witty illustrations are definitely original.

Known for his colorful and cheeky illustrations, the Chicago-based illustrator has worked on witty illustrations covering an array of topics from love, money and greed to his most commonly used humor theme.

Solis's new work literally jumps from the page; in his new series the illustrator uses potato chips, money, pencils, rulers and his bare hands to express himself and give the world a little does of his imaginative artwork.

"Even though most personal work is done with traditional mediums, I use and incorporate new technology for web development and graphic design," says Solis.

Always challenging himself to try something different and original, the artist is bound to expand his artistic repertoire and push the limits when it comes to mixed medium artwork.
