Cultivating Spirits is disrupting the food, drink and health industries with a new kind of dining experience that introduces guests to wine and weed pairings.
At the special dinners, people are taught to become "cannaseurs," or cannabis connoisseurs who are able to pick a strain of marijuana and match it with a white wine or a tune-based dish.
Now that new markets are allowing the sales of legal cannabis to grow, stigma surrounding the drug as a whole are being reduced as marijuana is being rebranded. At the same time, wine is also taking on a new identity that's more relaxed, appealing to younger demographics who can appreciate humor and see drinking as a social activity and a shared experience that's meant to be fun. Cultivating Spirits is a perfect example of where these two patterns converge.
