WIND by Studio YOY Self-Generates Wind to Create a Breeze

WIND by studio YOY is a memorizing new installation which self-generates wind to create its own breeze.

Serving as an artful and minimalist fan, this installation can keep users cool, while unobtrusively enhancing the interior of any room. The gorgeous design is comprised of a few simple objects, including light-wash wood paneling and a semi-transparent sheet, which helps accentuate the breeze. Posing as something that's reminiscent of an old country home, WIND is used to shift the perceptions of an interior space, by creating wind, where there shouldn't be.

The installation works as eight small fans were installed into the wooden panels, which result in a gentle breeze being emitted from the slits in the side of the frame. Photo Credits: designboom,
