Years ago, LinkNYC initiated a project in New York City to transform obsolete phone booths into towers that provide free WiFi—and for the holiday season this year, those in the city can use the WiFi kiosks to chat with none other than Santa.

To make it easier for the modern consumer to connect with Santa Claus, the free Wi-Fi service provider in New York City, created an app that is said to provide "a direct line to Santa himself."

Those who use the kiosk have the chance to leave their gift requests and leave a message for Santa's answering machine. Sometimes, one of the elves will pick up when Santa is not available, although they promise to make sure that one's message is received by Santa.
