Whisky design takes on renewed significance as The Macallan unveils a striking visual overhaul across its core collections, 'Double Cask,' 'Sherry Oak,' and the 'Color Collection,' uniting craftsmanship, heritage, and contemporary elegance. Created in partnership with acclaimed graphic designer David Carson, the refreshed aesthetic bridges the brand’s 200-year legacy with a bold, forward-facing identity.
Central to the redesign is a sculptural bottle form inspired by the sweeping architecture of The Macallan’s Speyside distillery, establishing a direct link between product and place. A triangular shoulder label subtly honors Spain’s Sherry Triangle, the source of the seasoned oak casks that shape each whisky’s natural color and flavor.
Enhancing both form and function, the back label now features a cask-type icon and QR code, offering digital access to tasting notes and production insights. Through this cohesive design language, The Macallan reaffirms its dedication to timeless whisky artistry with a distinctly modern lens.
