'Where You Want to Be' is an inspiring employee training initiative launched by fast food giant McDonald's last year. Launched as part of the brand's Archways to Opportunity education program, this campaign aims to help employees get one step closer to achieving long-term career goals outside of the food service industry. This is orchestrated with the help of experienced influencers in fields like healthcare, entertainment, technology and more. These influencers include both renowned professionals as well as celebrities.
Inspired by a recent Workforce Preparedness Study, which found "the top desired industries of restaurant employees – and that 17% are undecided when it comes to their long-term career paths," this campaign showcases the dedication McDonald's has to employees and their lives outside their role within its organization.
While the brand is known for its many employee benefits and long-term career opportunities in management and franchise ownership, this initiative addresses its large demographic of teen and student employees who are still unsure of their long-term plans for the future.
