'We Are America' Allows John Cena to Explain What Being American Is

Iconic WWE American wrestler John Cena was featuring in a campaign from 'Ad Council' that is titled 'We Are America.'

The effort works to show that the average American isn't necessarily what many believe them to be, showing how the country is made up of people from various sexual orientations, religions, racial backgrounds and more. John Cena walks through a street that's covered in American flags, all the while explaining statistical figures that show that more than half of the country is comprised of minority groups.

The goal of We Are America is to go against the discriminatory attitudes that are often propagated, telling its viewers that to love the country is to love everyone that's in it. The video discusses the celebration of the Fourth of July, showing Americans that real patriotism is about "love beyond labels."
