ESPN's 'Somos' Campaign Celebrates Hispanic Sports Icons

ESPN recently kicked off a year-long Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with 'Somos,' a campaign that spotlights the Hispanic community's immense influence in the world of sports. It will feature a medley of live events and original content, gradually unveiled during Hispanic Heritage Month. The campaign will also coincide with the 20th anniversary of ESPN Deportes which will take place this coming January, and the upcoming International Women's Month in March 2024.

Some of the Somos campaign's highlights include vignettes celebrating the next generation of Hispanic sports stars, a feature on trailblazing businesswoman Dany Garcia, a documentary on an indigenous softball team challenging gender stereotypes in Yucatán, and "Testigos," a storytelling series behind memorable sports moments. Additionally, ESPN's acclaimed series "Greenland" will return for its fourth season, exploring unique soccer fields worldwide.
