LA's Ray's and Stark Bar is a restaurant that offers an extensive water menu with over 40 still and sparkling varieties -- the eatery hosted a recent water tasting event that featured master sommelier Martin Riese.
The water expert's vast knowledge includes the mineral content, place of origin and taste of specific bottled blends that in this case ranged from Voss and Iskilde to Beverly Hills 9OH20.
Each of the products was closely examined during Ray's and Stark Bar's water tasting and was even scored for quality. The event' score sheets included criteria like carbonation levels, texture and overall taste -- elements that may not stand out to everyday water drinkers without a palette as refined as that of an expert.
