In recent years a number of credit card companies have begun offering warranty extensions on products purchased on their cards. Visa offers one of the most extensive warranty management services with the option to double a manufacturer's warranty up to 12 months.
In order to encourage consumers to make purchases with its card, Visa offers warranty extensions that will cover up to $10,000 worth of repairs and replacements. This perk is available for a wide variety of products, including certain electronic devices that are often prone to damage or malfunctions. To access the warranty extension service, consumers simply have to contact Visa within 60 days and they will be able to make their claim free of cost.
Visa's unique warranty innovation demonstrates how credit card companies are not only adapting to changing consumers needs, but also looking for new ways to improve customer satisfaction when it comes to purchase protection.
