Sugarlands Distilling Co. has launched a new collaboration with gourmet burger restaurant Wahlburgers, resulting in a new menu item. Chef Paul Wahlberg, founder of Wahlburgers, recently embarked on a trip with Mark and Digger to explore the Sugarlands distillery and dip his toes in the world of moonshining. As a result of this trip, Chef Paul created the 'Apple Rye BBQ Pork Sliders,' featuring Mark & Digger's 'Apple Moonshine' unaged rye.
Each order of these sliders comprises a trio of delectable components: first, slow-smoked pulled pork, painstakingly prepared to achieve maximum tenderness and flavor. Secondly, a proprietary house-made Apple Rye BBQ sauce infuses the meat with a harmonious blend of sweet and tangy notes. Finally, a freshly prepared coleslaw acts as a palate cleanser along with a stack of onion rings.
