Voyage Cinétique II is the name of Oscar Carvallo’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which was created with the aid of artist Carlos Curz-Diez. The duo have worked together in the past, but for this fashion collection, the pair brings together vivid colors and intense lines forthis playful couture collection.
The 35-piece collection draws inspiration from six paintings by Curz-Diez, but rather than using a brush, these paintings are recreated with the use of materials like muslin, lace, silk, mesh and even a few metal strips. Although the use of color and lines is nothing new to the world of fashion, each of these garments is fresh and unique, looking like walking versions of patterns that you might find on the inside of a kaleidoscope.
