Virgin's latest commercial features "animals" at an emergency committee meeting on global warming by Grayson, the wise old owl. The ad is for Virgin Trains, particularly the Pendolina trains which emit 76% less CO2 than planes or cars. With the slogan, "Go Greener. Go Cheaper," the Virgin initiative hopes to get more riders aboard for greener, more sustainable travel.
Virgin's were Europe's first 20% biodiesel trains, their on-board food service is made with minimal packaging, they offer only fair trade beverages, drivers are trained with energy-saving driving techniques, and most importantly, they offer cheap options for affordable travel.
