Sifting through resumes can be a time-consuming process but LinkedIn created a new Video Intro feature to speed up the job of finding the right candidate. LinkedIn found that "92% of talent professionals report that soft skills are equally or more important to hire for than hard skills" yet these skills don't often come across until there's an opportunity for face-to-face interaction. The new Video Intro feature has the potential to help hiring managers to quickly assess an applicant's skills even before the first live interview with prompts like: "Tell me about yourself,” or “What is your greatest strength?"
At a time when many people are working from home and communicating with colleagues via video conferencing software, or being interviewed for a potential position online, LinkedIn's new feature helps candidates show off their soft skills.
