In an effort to support her passion for making stop motion films, Dutch artist Vera van Wolferen has begun to sell these beautiful one-of-a-kind lamps on her Etsy shop: Life in Cardboard.
Handcrafted from cardboard, Vera van Wolferen uses the skills she developed making cardboard props to create these almost fairytale-like lamps. She currently offers three different kinds of cardboard lamps on her Life in Cardboard shop. There is a beautiful rustic looking house lamp, a cardboard lamp in the shape of a lighthouse, and one designed to look like a typical Dutch canal house.
All of her cardboard lamps feature a removable top to access the light bulb, and though some of the lamps have fragile parts, the lamps as a whole are completely solid due to the thickness of the cardboard and the special glue used.
