London-based creative practice Palefire Studio, which was founded by multidisciplinary creative Rowena Morgan-Cox, recently launched the U/V Collection, a capsule of modular lamps with strikingly sculptural silhouettes. The pieces were made from recycled paper pulp, rendering them both sustainable craft objects and unique furniture pieces. Palefire Studio drew inspiration from historical art and design movements—and especially art nouveau and abstract expressionism—while creating the U/V Collection. T
The design of the modular lamps is quite playful and versatile. These pieces can be stacked in different formations, enabling one to create a wide selection of different aesthetic variations to suit particular interior design needs. Palefire Studio claims that its approach to the aesthetically intriguing paper pulp lamps was "resolutely maximalist."
