Stackable Modular Lamps

The Module Table Lamp is Inspired by Teapots and Contemporary Lighting

Soyida Akhtar designed the Module Table Lamp. She aimed to employ a range of craft practices and processes with a strong contemporary aesthetic to create the tabletop accessory. The lighting project began with Akhtar's observation of interiors and the use of lighting.

The lamp was born out of an initiative called Design Creators. Akhtar collaborated with Wedgwood to design the Module Table Lamp with stackable shapes. The lamp boasts soft edges and ceramic modules connected by a brass cylinder. Moreover, the cylinder is a connecting part with the double function of concealing the wireless LED light source and allowing the other components to stack vertically. In addition, users can charge the wireless light via a USB port.
