Vegetarian Gourmet's line of gluten-free Artisan Vegan Burgers includes varieties such as Quinoa & Chickpea, Mexican 3-Bean and a Lentil & Walnut patty, which nourishes with 15 grams of protein.
As many consumers are now looking to enrich their diets with plant-based sources of protein, they are experimenting with reformatted comfort foods such as burgers, and meats that make simple substitutes. Although these burgers may be used as an alternative to meat, Vegetarian Gourmet notes that its line introduces a "vegan burger that's not pretending to be meat," but rather one that celebrates the vibrancy of vegetables, chopped herbs and flavorful spices.
