The Vector 2 Chair is a Modern Adaptation of Grandpa's Wingback

Looking at the Vector 2 Chair by Marcin Laskowski, I'm first drawn to the warm tartan pattern of brown and yellow that looks like the upholstery on grandpa's favorite lounger. But in terms of the configruation of this unique piece of furniture, it isn't exactly too traditional.

The duplicated boomerang shapes of the seat and backrest revive a style that was considered trendy several generations ago, but the eccentric appearance has made it an uncommon sight since. One would tend to expect such an object to be covered in a bold red fabric for instance, but the integration of a classic plaid and a contemporary form makes for a compelling and unexpected visual suggestion in the Vector 2 Chair.
